Inside view of a nuclear reactor

The Guangdong Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station (GNPS) comprises two 984 MW (gross) units. The reactors are of the Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) type.This type of reactors has many years of safe and reliable operating experience. At the end of 1997, there were 430 commercial nuclear reactors in operation in the world, of these 204 are of the PWR type.
